I was very lucky this week to be able to attend a presentation by Orna Drawas on her book Perform Like a Rock Star and Still Have Time for Lunch. She is amazing and I don’t think it is an overstatement to say that the entire TCREW audience left feeling empowered. She made several succinct points but the one that really stood out to me was “Use the Power of Others”. Her emphasis was on the importance of networks and community. She asked the audience who would help someone if they could and *everyone* raised their hands. Of course we would all help each other! We all win when we invest in community. Not only the recipient but the giver because it creates a relationship and an open door for future collaboration. I can’t think of a better validation for what we are creating here at Building1.
